Manhattanville Campus Expansion

Columbia University is currently in the process of expanding to include a Manhattanville campus just north of Columbia’s historic Morningside Heights campus.  The Manhattanville campus will consist primarily of the four large blocks from 129th to 133rd Streets between Broadway and Twelfth Avenue (see map), including the north side of 125th Street, as well as three properties on the east side of Broadway from 131st to 134th Streets.  Further information related to the Manhattanville campus can be found here.

Physical Projects

The Office of Government and Community Affairs provides an important link between the community, the University and public officials, not only as it relates to the Manhattanville Campus Expansion Plan, but with regard to all University initiated “bricks and mortar” projects.  In addition, GCA staff monitors projects or proposals generated by government agencies and outside developers which may affect the upper Manhattan communities that surround University campuses.  We work closely with other University departments, particularly the Manhattanville Development Group, Facilities, and Communications and are the primary link between the University and local Community Boards.   Staff also serves as liaison to city-wide and regional civic organizations and with those CU service learning programs focused on physical planning, design and development.
